Joseph De Leon began work at Texas Health Resources in 2005 and brings more than 22 years of experience in progressive health care operations management to his role as president of Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth.
Having started his career in the business office at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas Joseph worked with physician groups and managed care companies before moving into hospital administration. In 1995 he joined the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Corps Officer providing leadership for facility operations and financial administration. During his time at Texas Health, he has been responsible for the operational leadership and development of key acute care service lines, ambulatory services, ancillary services, support services, business development, and strategic planning functions.
A former U.S. Air Force Captain, Joseph holds a bachelor of science in political science from Texas A&M University and a master of public administration with a health services administration focus from Texas A&M University. He is active in his community and currently serves as board chair Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth. Joseph is an active member in the community including multiple other boards and community organizations including the Boys Scouts of America Longhorn Council and the North Texas Community Foundation. Joseph has been married to Monica for 25 years and they have four children, two of which are students at Texas A&M University and two that spend countless hours on the little league baseball field.
