USHCC Congratulates Secretary Alexander Acosta

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to congratulate Secretary Alexander Acosta on his swearing-in as the nation’s 27th Secretary of Labor. Having previously served in three presidentially-appointed and Senate confirmed positions, Acosta holds a long track record of public service and dedication to the American people. Secretary Acosta’s success in defending the rights of American citizens is a perfect fit to meet the needs and objectives of this new administration.

We at the USHCC are pleased to see Secretary Acosta sworn to office, and stand confident in the new Secretary’s abilities and his commitment to advancing opportunities for American workers. The Secretary has a thorough knowledge of employment law and a tremendous record of service on the National Labor Relations Board among his works in government service. We are confident his experience protecting the rights and conditions of our American workforce will serve him well. The USHCC looks forward to working with the Secretary on the economic and labor issues which directly affect Hispanic-owned businesses and all Americans.

The USHCC applauds the confirmation of R. Alexander Acosta for Secretary of Labor, not because the nominee is of Hispanic descent, but because he is highly qualified and the best-suited choice for this significant cabinet post. We wish him every success in his new post.
