Washington, D.C. – The USHCC is thrilled to learn in the latest monthly jobs report, that unemployment among Hispanic Americans has dropped to 5.1% – the lowest rate in 10 years, according to the Department of Labor. Our community has always been known as a hard-working and vital part of the nation’s economy – as business owners, tax payers, and strong consumers. USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez said: “We are proud to see more Hispanics than ever before enter the job market and remain employed. Also, it is worth noting that many new jobs are actually created by Hispanic-owned companies across the country. This latest figure is but one example of the impact our community of business owners and job creators has, as the most dynamic entrepreneurial segment of the American economy.”
