Communications and Program Development Fellow
Ashleigh Medina is currently a fourth year student at the University of California, Santa Cruz from which she transferred to after attending Rio Hondo College. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Legal Studies. After she graduates from UCSC this year, she intends to attend law school and pursue a career as a lawyer.
Ashleigh is passionate about social justice and advocacy. Her interest in law stems from wanting to give back to her community as much as possible. Ashleigh has some experience with advocacy including being part of student government in community college and attending the American Student Association of Community Colleges (ASACC) Conference in 2018 and advocating for issues on Capital Hill. In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys learning about astrology, exploring new places, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
As a Communications and Program Development Fellow, Ashleigh hopes to learn how to engage with and advocate for people in ways that are directly beneficial to them. She is excited to learn from everyone during her time in DC and can’t wait to put it into practice in her career.
