Daniela Villegas Valle
Daniela Villegas is a senior student at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, intending to graduate with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish, with a minor in Creative Writing. She also participated in the ISEP Direct study abroad program of 2019-2020 to the Universidad de Murcia, in Spain. She is the Vice-president of the Creative Writing Club, member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and has been four years running on the Dean’s list.
Daniela was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and has lived in places like Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Costa Rica. She currently lives in Ashburn, VA, where she is working part time as a freelance translator and Spanish tutor. She enjoys writing, reading, sketching, and playing guitar on her spare time. Daniela is interested in pursuing a career in editing and publishing.
As a Communication and Programming Fellow, Daniela hopes to get further involved in the Hispanic community. She admires the mission of the USHCC to help others get support and opportunities during these troubled times and aid its community by creating connections. She is looking forward to working with such dedicated people.
