USHCC Commends HP for Appointing Kim Rivera as General Counsel

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) applauds the recent appointment of Kim Rivera as new Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for HP Inc. In this role, Rivera will manage HP’s global legal team, covering Ethics, Compliance, Intellectual Property and IP Licensing, Brand Protection, and Government Relations.

“I commend HP Inc. for their selection of Kim Rivera as General Counsel, and applaud the company’s ongoing commitment to build and sustain diverse, world-class leadership teams,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. “We admire those corporations that seek to reflect in their executive suite the faces of the communities in which they do business, and look forward to HP’s continued progress on this front. Kim will be joining other prominent Hispanic executive leaders within the HP family, including Chief Marketing Officer Henry Gomez; Senior Vice President of Customer Advocacy Ramon Baez; Senior Vice President, Applications and Business Services Katherine Garcia; Senior Vice President, Enterprise Business Human Resources Elcio Barcelos; and Vice President, Technology Services Go-To-Market Ivonne Valdez.”

For more than twenty years, Rivera has advised Fortune 500 companies—including DaVita HealthCare Partners, Clorox, Rockwell International, and Jones Day—on significant corporate transactions, governance, securities, compliance, risk management, audit and litigation matters. She also sits on the board of the California Latino Community Foundation. Likewise, Rivera is a frequent speaker on diversity and inclusion in business, especially in regards to the need for women in leadership.
