USHCC Endorses John Kasich for Republican Nomination

Ohio Governor John Kasich has a Proven Track Record of Creating Jobs, Spurring Economic Growth and Enacting Policy Solutions Friendly to America’s Small Business Community
WASHINGTON, DC–(Marketwired – April 28, 2016) – The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to endorse Governor John Kasich as the Republican nominee for President of the United States.
For decades, John Kasich has consistently fought for policies that foster economic growth. From advocating on behalf of small business in the Ohio Senate at 27 years old — to spearheading the successful effort of balancing the federal budget as Chairman of the U.S. House Budget Committee in 1997 — to closing Ohio’s $8 billion budget shortfall, while simultaneously cutting taxes by $5 billion and creating more than 425,000 private sector jobs.
Governor Kasich understands that sustainable economic growth is needed in order to allow the American people an opportunity to succeed, regardless of background. He also understands that the Hispanic community is not monolithic, and that the issues most important to all Americans are: jobs, the economy, healthcare, education, immigration and national security.
Governor Kasich earns our endorsement because, unlike his primary opponents, he has a proven ability to unite people across party lines, and has a track record of enacting bold, comprehensive policies to solve the problems that matter to Hispanic business owners, and all Americans.
There is so much at stake in this election and our country cannot afford to have those who would divide our nation and prey on the fears of the American people as our President. By way of example, Donald Trump’s rhetoric toward women, immigrants, the disabled, Muslims, and the Hispanic community not only divides our country, but sends a clear message that Hispanic voters won’t forget: he does not stand with our community.
For these reasons and more, we proudly endorse Governor John Kasich as the Republican Presidential nominee.
