USHCC to Honor Senator John McCain with Lifetime Achievement Award

WASHINGTON, March 27, 2014 — The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
(USHCC) is proud to honor U.S. Senator John McCain with the the 2014 “Lifetime
Achievement Award.” The award will be presented at the USHCC’s 2014 Legislative
Summit closing gala on March 27th at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, D.C. Each year,
the award commemorates the accomplishments of a national leader who has devoted
their life’s work to serving our nation’s best interests. Previous recipients of this award
include former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and U.S. Congressman Xavier
Becerra.

“Senator McCain is an exemplary national leader and a tireless ally to America’s
Hispanic business community. His legacy is measured by pure character and effective
action. The USHCC is proud to present this honor to Senator John McCain, an American
hero, model public servant and true statesman,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier
Palomarez.

The Legislative Summit Gala marks the finale of a three-day engagement between
members within the highest pillars of government and business — all culminating with
high level remarks by honorary guest speakers and USHCC leadership. The event will
host over 300 Hispanic business, corporate and executive leaders, and will recast the
association’s vision for America’s business future.
