USHCC to Honor Verizon’s Emilio Gonzalez as 2015 “Corporate Advocate of the Year”

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce that Emilio Gonzalez, Executive Director, Strategic Alliances at Verizon Communications, will receive the Corporate Advocate of the Year Award at the association’s 2015 National Convention on September 22nd in Houston, Texas.

This award goes to a corporate executive who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to championing the cause of Hispanic Business Enterprises and has worked tirelessly to advance the mission of the USHCC.

“The USHCC is delighted to recognize Emilio Gonzalez, a visionary leader whose longstanding service to our country’s diverse communities has been evident throughout his career. Likewise, Emilio’s groundbreaking accomplishments in educational technology have benefitted Americans of all backgrounds,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. “Through every trial and triumph, Emilio has served as a staunch supporter and trusted advisor to the USHCC. We look forward to honoring him at our National Convention with the 2015 Corporate Advocate of the Year Award.”

At Verizon, Gonzalez manages public policy, communications and outreach with a wide range of national civil rights and multicultural business groups nationwide.

Additionally, Verizon was honored at the highest tier of the USHCC’s Million Dollar Club – for investing more than $500 million in contracts with Hispanic Business Enterprises.
