
Veronica De La Torre
Director of Special Events
Veronica De La Torre is a seasoned event planning and communications professional with over a decade of experience in orchestrating high-profile events and strategic initiatives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Texas A&M University–San Antonio and currently serves as the Director of Special Events for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
In this role, she leads the planning, management, and execution of premier events that align with the organization’s strategic vision, demonstrating exceptional leadership, creativity, and project management expertise. She excels in overseeing budgets, logistics, and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless and impactful event experiences.
Prior to her current role, Veronica served as Culinary Sales Manager for True Flavors Catering, one of San Antonio’s premier catering companies. She worked closely with clients to conceptualize and execute events ranging from private gatherings and corporate functions to large-scale weddings, ensuring an unparalleled level of service and attention to detail.
Veronica’s extensive experience also includes her tenure as Vice President of Special Events at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she spearheaded the planning and execution of flagship events, including the largest gala in the Southwest. She has successfully organized large-scale community events, such as the Day of the Dead San Antonio Festival, which drew over 10,000 attendees, and the 11th Annual Paella Challenge, collaborating with more than 60 chefs from across the country.
Beyond her professional achievements, Veronica is an active member of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists, where she has contributed to the organization’s annual gala since 2014. In 2017, she was recognized in the San Antonio Business Journal’s “People on the Move” section for her outstanding contributions to the industry. A proud San Antonio native and the youngest of three siblings, Veronica remains deeply connected to her community and passionate about creating meaningful, memorable experiences through her work.
